Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Logistics Director to lead and oversee operations in the logistics department of the company. He/She will create logistical plans and procedures to ensure internal and external customer requirements are satisfied. The job of a Logistics and Distribution manager entails more than just organizing products storage and distribution. You will make certain that the proper product is used and you will ensure that the right products are delivered to the right location at a reasonable cost. You may also be involved in sales, transportation, stock control, warehousing and monitoring the flow of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall financial and operational excellence for the various departments: Logistics, Warehouse, Delivery and Customer Service.
- Perform strategic planning including the setting of specific KPIs for each department.
- Plan and ensure continuous improvements of service & operational delivery processes.
- Take ownership of & be involved in the annual budget process.
- Ensure that all contractual deliveries are fulfilled.
- Responsible for work safety measures & risk assessment for various departments.
- Ensuring the business operates within the company mission statement.
- Investigating customer satisfaction and reporting any issues.
- Working with department heads and senior management to get the best performance from staff.
- Responsible for business development of logistics related segment.
- Any other ad-hoc projects and duties as assigned by reporting manager and/or management.
Requirements:
- Minimum a bachelor's degree in Logistics and Supply Chain or equivalent
- Has at least 5 years of management experience
