Job Description:
This position is responsible for achieving Gross Profit (GP) targets, involves managing client relationships, developing sales opportunities, and delivering tailored logistics solutions. The FSM independently builds pipelines, utilizes CRM tools, and stays updated on market trends to support business growth.
Responsibilities:
· Achieve GP budgets by generating and converting opportunities from both existing and new accounts.
· Build and maintain an opportunity pipeline that exceeds the territory budget and hit rate targets.
· Identify and establish relationships with potential and existing clients, focusing on those meeting preferred client criteria.
· Regularly engage with clients through in-person meetings, phone calls, and other communication channels to foster strong partnerships.
· Act strategically to contribute to personal and team success.
· Stay updated on market trends, new sailings/routings, and solutions to offer tailored client solutions that enhance supply chains.
· Utilize CRM tools to register, track, and follow up on sales opportunities.
· Document and internally share relevant customer information to improve sales efficiency and decision-making.
· Work closely with sales colleagues and other departments to maximize business opportunities and achieve organizational goals.
· Address customer inquiries, troubleshoot problems, and handle complaints promptly and professionally.
· Adhere to Selling Processes (GSP) and other prescribed tools to ensure consistency and efficiency in sales operations.
· Reports directly to Head of Field Sales
Requirements:
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or contract logistics, with a proven track record in sales and client relationship management.
· Ability to independently manage and grow accounts, driving sales performance to meet or exceed individual Gross Profit (GP) targets.
· Skilled in using CRM tools for tracking and managing sales pipelines efficiently.
· Adept at addressing customer concerns and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.
· Comprehensive understanding of supply chain and logistics operations, with the ability to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs.
· Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the capability to engage and influence clients autonomously.
· Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently while aligning with the overall organizational strategy.
· Analytical mindset with the ability to assess market trends and align individual efforts to business goals.
