Key Responsibilities

• Actively manage a team of people across geographical boundaries, including performance management, capacity management, task delegation, contingency planning etc., to meet the customer’s needs
• Involved in MBR, QBR preparation, conduct root cause analysis and craft preventive measures
• Problem solver who can resolve the issue within the first level escalation
• Drive process efficiency, simplification and process improvement
• Prepares Monthly Business Review (MBR) Reports and slides, driving the conversation with customers
• Ensuring timely and accurate billing to customer and payment to the vendor
• Be fully responsible for customer satisfaction across Maersk product offering (own customers), including SCM performance and KCXI rating driving for responsible accounts.
• Cross-sell & upsell Logistics and Services products to customers.
• Conduct performance reviews with customer.
• Willingness to go the extra mile towards the customers & with focus on providing solutions.
• In general, actively seek out and act on continuous improvement opportunities both in relation to customers and internal / external stakeholders.

We are looking for

Required Education/Work Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience including at least 3 years of leadership experience is preferred
• Experience in import/export, sea freight, airfreight, DG/Non-DG shipments is advantageous.
• Experience in the Chemical industry is advantageous
• Experience in handling Customer Service transactions/processes as well as liaising with origin and destination offices is preferred.
• Advanced skills in Excel (i.e., pivot, pivot graph, conditional formatting setting, advanced formula setting like VLOOKUP, IF function ) and PowerPoint (i.e., monthly/quarterly business review preparation)

• Good verbal and written English skills for co-ordination with origin & destination offices, warehouse, carriers, internal stakeholders
• Good business knowledge/process understanding to provide a value add to the customers through effective business solutions

Responsibilities:

This role support business projects for material/ product handling equipment implementation for warehouse setup within APAC regions. The successful incumbent is expected to provide consultation about optimal logistics automation operation tailored to meet customers’ need by proposing and implement cost effective logistics automation to continuous enhance organizational performance.

Based on the deep understanding of Logistics Automation process, the incumbent will lead the entire project by provide professional consultation and support in strategy development and roadmap establishment for logistics automation services.

• Logistics Project Planning and Implementation ManagementPropose the right Logistics Automation Solution that comply with customers’ requirements, aim to fulfill quality goals, service standards and inventory accuracy.
  Execute the plan from sourcing, proposing, conduct feasibility testing, assessing the technical specifications to purchase of warehouse automated equipment and setup the new warehouse
  Work closely with Logistics Systems Integration Engineer to build the automation technology database to track capacities, costs and system connectivity
  Plan and manage the entire implementation project timeline, budget and resources
  Conduct user training to key users
  
• Enhancement of Logistics Automation ProcessDefine KPI and determine the achievement rate of the applied automation equipment
  Identifies process exceptions, formulates recommendations, and implements process improvements.
  Monitor and report the operational status including work efficiency, ROI analysis, productivity to management
  
• Logistics Automation ConsultationDiscover new automation technology (S/W, H/W) and keep abreast of the latest automation market trends by develop the relevant strategies
  Conduct operational simulation to strengthen the capacity by adopting the optimal automation solutions to customers
  
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders i.e external suppliers/ technology consultants/ equipment suppliers
• Support Regional Head Quarter with any other Logistics Automation Optimization assignment
• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum 8+ years of related working experience in Global Logistics Company
• [Master degree holder] Minimum 6+ years of related working experience in Global Logistics Company
• Work experience in Global Freight Forwarding with experience in setting up automation solutions in in a logistics environment and relevant role (design warehouse automation equipment such as ASRS, AGV, DPS, DAS, etc. and setup warehouse) is a must
• Deep understanding of Global Logistics Automation, WMS/WCS
• Proficient in Logistics Automation Simulation
• Able to select Optimal option and application for automation equipment
• Good in warehouse automation layout design by using tools such as Autocad, Sketchup, CAD
• Experience in end-to-end project management
• Experience in leading projects by simulating using Automode, Flexsim, Arena
• Experience in carrying out optimization part (Operation Research) Projects
• Able to use the Data analysis tool such as Power BI, Tableau etc.
• Familiar with the regulations, codes of practice and standards imposed on technical procedures.
