As Reefer Care Manager, you are responsible for overall end-to-end operational delivery of PIL reefer service to ensure safe, reliable and efficient carriage of reefer cargo.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement end-to-end reefer handling process
• Coordinate with commercial, trade, operations, equipment, claims and other related shareholders to ensure reliability of reefer product
• Reefer monitoring on land and vessel, including special commodity hyper-care, CA, CT, pharma, etc.
• Resolve reefer malfunction and other exceptions, incl. manage 24/7 emergency technical hotline for reefer malfunction
• Manage outsourced reefer service partners (long term to migrate to SSC)
• Manage reefer ship kit and accessories deployment
• Technical support to commercial, claims, trades, etc.
• Support the monitoring of reefer related cost in the network
• Manage reefer care team (Shared Services Centre)
• Lead stakeholders in reefer handling process

Job Requisitions:

• Tertiary education in science, engineering preferable.
• Preferably with at least 10 years’ experience in reefer equipment operations, maintenance, engineering and post-harvest cargo handling.
• Expert in reefer handling process like:Reefer container preparation, CA, CT, Pharma, etc.

Our client is a growing logistics conglomerate and looking for experienced operation manager for their frieght forwarding business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Advise on key decisions relating to the day-to-day activities for the PL Re-Supply Ocean Freight department, in consultation with the Operations Manager (OM) and Head of Department (HOD) when necessary
• Ensure that job file management, billing, invoicing, costing, and reporting is carried out in accordance with requirements.
• Oversee locally the development of new PL Re-Supply Ocean Freight business, including the commercial policy and future strategic business direction.
• Ensure that financial management, billing, and invoicing, and reporting for freight is carried out in accordance with requirements. Also, to ensure that all costs are booked properly.
• Reporting for the Ocean Freight Export department is carried out in accordance with requirements.
• Ensure that all freight personnel are trained on the information systems and that they are using them correctly to support the needs of the business.
• Handle tender and pricing requests from Network, Agents and internal stakeholders.
• Ocean Freight Procurement, sourcing and negotiating for competitive price-structure.
• Report preparation and submission (various assigned reports)
• Training of new on-board staff.
• Report negative files to OM/HOD and negotiate with vendors to reduce negative impact.
• Other functions as assigned by OM/HOD.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATES

• Diploma or equivalent certification in logistic related field preferred

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

• At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably prior experience as a supervisor specializing in Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalent.

About the role

The Senior Payroll Executive is responsible for full spectrum of payroll function including processing of salaries/ wages, pay adjustment, CPF submission, annual tax filing as well as regular headcount & reporting related to payroll, ensuring a high level of data accuracy and compliance. This is a one-year contract position.

What you will be doing

• Manage mid to complex monthly payroll processing across different shift patterns including overtime pay, festive advance pay, ad-hoc payroll and allowances.
• Ensure timely submission of tax clearance for non-local leavers.
• Prepare various quarterly accrual and provision reports for Finance reporting.
• Assist in preparation for journal posting to Finance system.
• Assist to prepare pre-payroll activities (e.g month end data for payroll checking, leave and attendance checking).
• Manage stakeholders enquiries relating to payroll costs, reports and grants computation.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as required.
