JOB SCOPE

Provide key support to the customers in all matters relating to completion of a sales order. Activities including follow-up on shipments and preparation of shipping documents to ensure 100% on time delivery is achieved.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handle Import / Export / Direct shipments & local delivery orders
• Preparation of shipping documents for courier service
• Order processing, generate invoices, GRN through SAP System
• Follow up with forwarders on shipping documentation and delivery matters
• To maintain proper documentation for filing records
• Support logistics department in the preparation of shipping documents (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, B/L, Delivery Order, Certificate of Origin) for Imports, Exports, Local and Malaysia collection
• Liaising with Sales / Customer Services for shipping/delivery matters
• Apply shipping insurance & fumigation whenever required
• Stock takes / cycle count / Inventory Management
• Liaising with warehouse personnel for shipments / order delivery
• Issue Purchase Requisition (PR) for Logistics Department
• Any other duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitating and managing activities involving cross-border/domestic operations, including transit warehouse, international linehaul, customs clearance, and last mile delivery in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and China.
• Familiar with custom requirements, import and export procedures and documentations.
• Sourcing for rates from truck supplier as per the sale/customer's enquiry
• Handling all aspects of customer's requirements and problem solutions for their shipments
• Monitor and update shipment status, delays, or changes in delivery schedules.
• Managing cross-border trucking (CBT) billing and preparing reports for internal and external customers
• Assisting in auditing service provider bills and working with finance on payment

We are looking for

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Logistics & Supply Chain, or equivalent
• At least 1-2 years of experience in Freight Operations and Logistics/Transportation Business involving road transportation.
• Work experience in cross-border trucking service is a plus.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Mandarin (required for communication with Mandarin-speaking vendors/partners)
• Self-starter with excellent communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels internally, 3PLs, freight forwarders, suppliers and/or vendors

Duties

• Deploy prime mover drivers to perform trucking job

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a GCE ‘O’ Level or its equivalent
• 1 year relevant experience in deployment of drivers for trucking/ loose cargo jobs

• Reviews and benchmark pricing received from the countries to ensure competitive submission to the customer
