What is the Job all about?

The APAC Transportation Manager has direct accountability for APAC transportation management (inbound flows, Intercompany flows between plants and outbound to our customers) for South East Asia Oceania (SEAO) and South Asia (SA). Your focus is to ensure the assigned regional transportation team with clear accountability on cost performance, operational performance, C02 reduction and on contributing to the long-term strategic transportation roadmap to support 2025 Logistics strategy Roadmap. • The APAC Transportation Manager has the responsibility to manage and develop the regional transportation and shipping teams to ensure daily smooth operations but also to ensure that long term initiatives are supported and leaded by your function. You will have 5 – 15 direct reports in the shipping teams. You will be responsible to define the future design of the organization, and this may include to onboard external logistics partners, 4PL’s as well as deploy shared service center organization in low-cost countries. • The APAC Transportation Manager needs to have an extremely close collaboration with Performance Unit colleagues, Group functions, and directly with Customers. Your background:

Responsible for managing procurement, logistics, and supply chain activities for projects in Singapore, ensuring compliance with government regulations, manufacturer standards, and company policies.

*Key Responsibilities:*

*Procurement Management:*

1. Conduct market research on Singapore material market, including government regulations, manufacturer resources, and material production standards.

2. Coordinate subcontracting bidding and inquiry work.

3. Manage domestic material suppliers, including potential supplier inspections, data collection, and qualified supplier reviews.

4. Receive, review, and register procurement plans in the ledger.

5. Conduct bidding/inquiry procurement, prepare and review bidding documents, and negotiate contracts.

*Logistics and Supply Chain Management:*

1. Familiarity with Singapore customs policies and procedures.

2. Research domestic transportation agents, ports, customs clearance processes, and permit requirements.

3. Track shipment of domestic equipment, manage customs clearance documents, and publish shipping information.

4. Manage unloading ships at ports, customs clearance, and domestic transportation.

5. Ensure transportation safety and obtain necessary permits for large-scale transportation.

Data Management and Administration:

1. Maintain procurement management ledgers (planning, contract, invoice, guarantee).

2. Organize and archive paper-based materials.

3. Manage funding plans, review and submit domestic procurement invoices, and track payments.

4. Balance inventory management of domestically procured materials.

5. Utilize project cost management software.

*Risk Management and Quality Control:

1. Identify and control procurement management risks.

2. Lead quality control of domestically procured materials.

3. Ensure delivery schedules meet project milestone requirements.

4. Manage safety of unloading and transportation of materials.

*Claims and Insurance:*

1. Provide documents required for insurance claims (bills of lading, certificates of origin, etc.).

2. Coordinate logistics companies to issue damage, loss, and accident report materials.

1. To produce half monthly billing report for Accounts, with complete data entry for all DO received

2. To produce monthly salary report of drivers for HR Department

3. Processing and filling of documentations and reports

4. Administrative duties of vehicle’s insurance, road tax, parking and fines

5. Responsible for quotation for price confirmation and acknowledgement by customers / sub cons

6. To keep track of daily order for the group of lorry order

7. To ensure accurate information on GPS system

REQUIREMENTS
