This role reports to the Head of Product Design. We value clean design, speed of execution, and support one another to grow as designers and individuals.

This role will give you the opportunity to:
- Execute across the full range of product design skills, from initial flows and wireframes, to polished mockups and prototypes and more
- Lead research projects using a variety of methods (surveys, interviews, usability testing and more) to understand and advocate for users in the design process
- Dig into data to evaluate, experiment and optimise designs
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Technology, Product, Business Intelligence and more to define problems, identify opportunities, prioritise features and more
- Maintain and expand shared design systems
- Give and solicit feedback often with stakeholders and fellow designers
- Raise the bar for product quality in terms of impact, ease of use, and improve team processes

Requirements
- A solid portfolio that showcases your design process and polished output. We will evaluate actual work experience much more than the number of years (approximately 5+ years).
- Communication skills (verbal, written and visual). You’re comfortable articulating your design rationale, presenting complex flows and documenting decisions.
- User research skills and experience.
- A track record of collaboration, stakeholder engagement and time management.
- Critical thinking skills. You ask questions and think analytically to form your own viewpoint.
- High proficiency in design tools and processes (user research, usability testing, etc). We use Figma, Dovetail, Maze and more.
- Prior startup experience is a big plus.

Responsibilities:

· Prepare and check Electrical Design deliverables such as single line diagrams, schematics, design calculations, and layouts;

· Responsible for budgeting and procurement as well as M&E services proposals and infrastructure projects;

· Conduct feasibility studies, and responsible for the resolution of technical issues, conceptual designs, write-up for specifications;

· Compliance of codes and familiar with authorities’ submissions for M&E works;

· Coordinate and review drawings and document with other design groups as well as client personnel as required;

· Review supplier documents and ensure appropriate interface with supplier packages;

· Prepare tender drawings and material take-offs etc;

· Support Construction, field engineering, review of M&E shop drawings etc;

· Populate and maintain Electrical Database;

· Assist Lead Engineer in other project tasks.

Requirements:

· Degree/ Diploma in Electrical, or its equivalent;

· Minimum 5 years of relevant experience;

· Conversant in BIM (Revit) and AutoCAD platforms to perform drawing and design work;

· Experience in the use of BIM tools for design / tender / construction documentation;

· Knowledge in basic regulatory requirements (URA, BCA, SCDF, PUB, NEA, LTA, SPPG, SPS, etc).

Senor Designer

You will work both independently and collaboratively, manage a multi-talented team to deliver across multiple touch points including branding, packaging, and digital through partnerships with Marketing, Consumer Insights, Sales, and external agencies. Our in-house design team is involved in end to end range of work— from package design and art direction, to digital design, including print execution production of key deliverables.

Job Responsibilities

• Represent design in matrix organisation to influence leadership team, ensuring designs are on brand, and are elevated and of high quality.
• Lead and oversee multiple initiatives from design strategy to execution while fully articulating the local consumer needs and business context.
• Develop in partnership with the internal and external teams to create consumer winning concepts across touchpoints based on campaign needs. Projects include (but not limited to) innovative package design, digital design, brand identity/ assets creation, photography etc.
• Understand and translate consumers insights and business needs into consumer appealing design solutions
• Coach and mentor a team of designers and print production specialists to ensure high level of design quality and efficient workflow. At the same time growing team’s capabilities.
• Own and drive design prioritises of team’s activities, including work processes, budgets, stewardship/ tools to deliver on design teams’ agenda.
• Lead assigned projects to ensure goals delivered are timely and on budget – while maintaining strong communication with key partners along the way.
• Partner with the internal multi-functional teams to manage the end to end design process from concept to implementation

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor degree or equivalent in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a similar field
• At least 8—15 years agency/design studio/in-house experience in graphic design, art direction, digital design, and package design within the beauty industry.
• Design leadership skills to represent design in key decisions making processes
• Experience leading a team and external agency partners.
• In touch with latest trends and culture.
• Experience working on Japan market required
• Strong understanding in basic print production management
• Sophisticated, visual design aesthetic.
• Proficient on Mac platform; Illustrator, Photoshop, In-Design, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and 3-D drawing programs are a plus.
• Unwavering attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to problem solve and mitigate challenges ahead of due dates.
• Consistently deliver excellence in the work and encourage team members.
• Strategic and thoughtful in approach to design and branding.
