Systems Manager (VMware and Azure)

Responsibilities:

• Establish and review Infrastructure and Operations policies, standards, processes and architecture.
• Ensure project and operations governance are carried out in accordance with MAS TRM and established policies, standards and processes.
• Lead team to drive Automation (provisioning, monitoring, maintenance, etc), Champion Cost optimization and operations efficiency.
• Set the overall strategic direction for Infrastructure Systems and Azure pillars.
• Defining, planning and strategizing Infrastructure projects with various stakeholders for implementation, system integration and testing.
• Analyse and identify security shortcomings in systems (on-prem and Azure) with a hacker mindset and technical skills to propose and implement solutions.
• Build on-prem infrastructure, Azure Cloud, team capabilities, recruit, develop resources and retain talents.
• Manage Infrastructure projects, budget, capabilities and capacity as well as leverage on partner eco-system.
• Be a thought leader by staying abreast of current and emerging on-prem infrastructure, cloud technology, security and industry trends

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Information Technology, Information Systems or equivalent.
• Min 15 years’ IT hands-on infrastructure experience with 5 years’ experience in managerial position.
• Adept in Windows and Linux server operating systems, VMWARE, Automation and OS hardening.
• Proficient in SAN, NAS, Backup, Central server management solutions, Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange and Automation.
• Experience with Azure cloud-based IaaS and PaaS solutions and strong technical skills across Azure Security stack.
• Familiar with scripting languages such as JSON, Python and Powershell.
• Familiar with various infrastructure platform server, storage, network, database, middleware and security technologies.
• Strong affinity with network security concepts an advantage
• Experience in People development, Project management, IT Service management and Contract management.
• Experience in work planning, budget management and IT Audit.
• Proven track record in stakeholder management and ability to develop good working relationship within and cross teams.
• Familiar with vendor management and able to independently manage 3rd parties that provide cloud and integration services through ITIL processes, and drive SLA adherence through KPI reporting and identify gaps and improvement areas.
• Possess one or more of the following certifications would be advantages

1. Technical: Microsoft/Azure/AWS/CISSP
2. Project Management: PMP/Prince2
3. Process/Governance: ITIL/CGEIT/CISA/CISM
