As a Technical & Service Manager in the automotive trade, this role is to oversee the technical operations and ensure excellent service delivery. You will manage the technical and service departments, aiming for efficient operations, outstanding customer service, and compliance with industry standards.
Job Description
- Lead and supervise technicians, mechanics and service advisors to achieve the Departmental growth and profitability through excellent customer service, and right first time diagnosis and consistent quality repairs.
- Responsible for efficient operation.
- Support and maintain cordial relationship with principal in providing technical administration and support Sales as well as aftersales to achieve profitability and customer satisfaction.
Duties & responsibilities
- Participate in preparing the Company's annual budget for New Vehicles preparation.
- Prepare and formulate the strategic plan to achieve the Company's objectives with effective Vendors management.
- Manage and supervise efficient New Vehicle preparation with quality deliver in meeting customers delight.
- Coordinate and liasion with factory on the management and implementation of all technical information, product investigation, service bulletins, service campaign and safety recall.
- Provide guidance and training to maintain high performance and productivity.
- Foster a positive environment that promotes teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Supervise vehicle diagnostic, repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Address customer concerns promptly and effectively.
- Manage workflow and resources to meet service demands.
- Implement quality control measures for workmanship and safety.
- coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries.
- Supervise the preparation and participation of annual principal's skills competition as well as Distributor Award.
- Maintain of Quality Assurance programs such as ISO9000, 5S, Customer Satisfaction Index, Customer Complaints and Service Dealers performance audit.
- Monitor all WIP vehicles are meeting deadline.
- Attend to customer complaints and provide effective service recovery.
- Implement and maintenance of workshop 5S effectively.
Qualification
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering / Business Administration / Automotive / Mechanical Engineering
- 5 year's experience
- Valid Singapore Class 3 license
