Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the quality and consistency of delivery and presales across NEXT Data projects, by leading and mentoring a diverse team across multiple client projects
- Review and provide quality assurance to solution, scope and cost management of selected opportunities and client projects
- Bring your experience and ideas to effective and innovative engineering, design and strategy
- Participate in the planning and assignment of resources into client projects and opportunities, including talent acquisition and performance management
- Dive into company data to identify sources and features that will drive business objectives.
- Build the practice within and outside of the team:
- Contributing to our internal networks and special interest groups
- Mentoring to upskill peers and juniors
Requirements
- Past experience working on Informatica, Cloudera, Data Stage, MicroStrategy
- Strong knowledge of data manipulation languages such as SQL necessary to build and maintain complex queries and data pipelines
- Data modelling and architecting skills including strong foundation in data warehousing concepts, data normalisation, and dimensional data modelling such as OLAP
- Experience other data management topics such as data governance, metadata management, archival, data lifecycle management
- Strong understanding of Data Engineering concepts along with at least 2-3 implementations
- Worked in an environment where you have provided guidance to junior team members on technical issues
- Experience working in a dynamic environment with managing senior stakeholders from different organisations
- Experience preparing content and presenting in Steering Committee meetings
- Experience in managing project finance within approved budget and delivering at agreed margin
- At least 6+ years of experience in performing Impact Assessment and responding to Change Request and Service Request ensuring all aspects of solution is covered
