Roles Summary / Purpose
The Pre-Sales Senior Executive is responsible for driving the business expansion of our products and solutions company across Malaysia. Responsible in pre-sales products and solutions providing for maintaining existing clients while also spearheading corporate business development initiatives. The person will work closely with the sales team to achieve sales targets and maximize sales exposure in all business sectors. With a focus on promoting our products, executing sales plans, and identifying new business opportunities, this role is instrumental in enhancing our market presence and driving revenue growth.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist and support the sales cycle/management in business expansion efforts.
- Work closely with sales team members to promote our products and solutions and execute sales plans, including sourcing new business opportunities.
- Advising prospects / customers on the best technical specification that suit their requirements, include integration testing, customization of products/ solutions and root cause analysis of any issues.
- Deliver business presentations to internal and external stakeholders to enhance awareness, presence, and understanding of our products.
- Assist in new channel development and conduct market and competitor research to stay informed and ahead of the competition.
- Drive new solution business development aligned with the company's product portfolio. Regularly provide training to internal staff, partners and end-users on the products and technology functionality, usability, limitation, and capability.
- Facilitate integration between printer/solution products with existing systems.
- Track and monitor successful case sales performance, assisting in achieving department targets.
- Build and maintain a potential customer/key decision-maker/leads management system with IT support.
- Provide support for corporate/government events and other corporate activities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to provide sales tools, marketing materials, etc., to facilitate better market expansion and brand awareness for our products.
- Follow up on leads, especially those requiring pre-sales technical support, through joint visits with the sales team.
- Demonstrate in-depth product and solution knowledge regarding features, benefits, and applications.
- Identify targeted sales approaches tailored to the specific needs and preferences of customers for designated products/services.
- Coordinate with the Product Marketing department and customers for new product requisitions.
- Respond to client needs and complaints regarding products and services in a timely and professional manner to ensure their commitment to the company's business.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Proven experience in pre-sales, sales, or business development roles within the hardware/ document solutions industry, preferably with printers and label machines
- Strong understanding of commercial business development strategies and sales techniques.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct market research and analyze sales performance data.
- Proactive and results-oriented with a drive to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Familiarity with IT systems integration and solutions selling is a plus.
- Ability to travel extensively.
