About Our Client

They are looking for a Managing Director for their Singapore entity. You will be responsible for developing operational strategies and streamlining processes to ensure that the business is growing.
Job Description
- Design and execute operational strategies to improve service quality and streamline workflows.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives and collaborate with different teams to ensure that the operational goals are aligned with the overall company goals.
- Lead, motivate, and mentor a diverse team, enhance their skills and promote a culture of positivity and continuous improvement.
- Set clear performance metrics, review team performance, and offer opportunities for professional growth to your team.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, deliver outstanding service to ensure their continued satisfaction and loyalty.
- Explore new business opportunities and enhance the company's regional market share.
- Oversee the financial health of the Singapore office, including monitoring revenue streams, managing expenses, and executing cost-reduction strategies.
- Prepare and manage budgets and financial forecasts, and regularly report on financial outcomes to the regional management team.
- Uphold the highest standards of compliance with industry regulations and company policies, while ensuring all operations meet safety benchmarks.
- Engage in expansion efforts, including scouting for investment and acquisition opportunities.
The Successful Applicant
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills, ideally with prior experience in a Managing Director or comparable role.
- Minimum 5 years of senior management experience in the freight forwarding sector.
- Comprehensive understanding of business functions including HR, Finance, Sales, and Marketing.
- Proven ability in strategic planning and business development is essential.
- Clear and strong communication skills.
- Proven track record to exhibit strong leadership qualities and a determined focus on achieving results and adhering to cost-effective business principles.
- Flexibility and strong communication skills, ensuring adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
