Morgan McKinley is seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Operations Support Specialist for a 12-month contract with our esteemed client, a prominent Japanese investment banking and securities firm.
This role offers exposure to diverse IT desktop technologies such as BT Turret or Cisco IP Telephony, Bloomberg, and other essential trade floor IT support functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Address employee inquiries promptly, offering comprehensive support for hardware and software issues.
- Foster transparent communication with employees to prevent misunderstandings.
- Collaborate closely with the regional team to ensure adherence to group practices and standards.
- Adhere to IT policies and procedures, complying with internal and external regulations.
- Engage with external vendors to serve the best interests of our company.
- Flexibility to work outside of standard office hours when necessary.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent field.
- Ideally possess 2-3 years of IT support experience within the financial services sector, with a preference for experience supporting traders on the trading floor.
- Minimum of 3 years of robust trading floor support, preferably within Fixed Income.
- Proficiency in supporting voice systems (BT Turret or Cisco IP Telephony) is highly desired.
- Experience in network and data center operations is advantageous.
- Demonstrated vendor management skills.
- Ability to function effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Quick learner with the capacity to absorb and retain information efficiently.
