Job Description
- Develop and implement marketing and operational strategies for trade and private wine sales.
- Supervise the sales team, develop sales SOPs and strategies.
- Manage the logistics department, ensure smooth procedures, and develop SOPs.
- Supervise administrative functions including financial management, human resources, and legal compliance.
- Manage overall wine sales and purchasing departments.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, suppliers, and industry partners.
- Develop sales strategy, including budget and growth planning.
- Prepare annual budget, schedule expenditures, and ensure sales team meets goals.
- Analyse market trends and competitors' activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Lead and motivate department managers and employees to achieve business objectives.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management on business performance and strategic initiatives.
- Increase company's market share and improve marketing and profit yield.
- Be the contact person for winemakers, follow up on allocations, shipment planning, and ad-hoc communications.
- Manage wine reserves for private mailers, customer trade reserve, VIP customers.
- Assist with wine recommendations, email enquiries, marketing activities, wine events, and retail operations as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field. MBA preferred.
- Proven experience in a managerial role in the wine trading or related industry.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Solid understanding of financial management principles.
- Knowledge of the wine industry, including market trends and consumer preferences.
- Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software.
