Details of the Division and Team:

At the heart of Deutsche Bank is the Corporate Bank (CB), a market leader in cash management, trade finance, lending, trust and agency services and securities services, as well as risk management for foreign exchange and interest rates. The Corporate Coverage teams manage the Corporate Bank’s key client relationships across the full suite of Corporate and Investment Bank products. Within the Corporate Coverage teams, Risk Management Solutions desks are responsible for structuring and marketing interest rate and foreign exchange derivative hedges to corporate and sponsor clients.

This is an opportunity for you to join the Corporate Coverage COO team in Singapore. You will join a dedicated group of professionals focusing on supporting the Corporate Coverage franchise in APAC. You will be centrally involved on several business management tasks including running key projects across the Business with direct ownership and senior management exposure, monitoring business performance, and supporting governance process/control related tasks.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the APAC desk heads and broader COO team on various key projects related to supporting the corporate derivatives business. This may include projects related to growth strategy, client strategy, operational efficiency, business restructuring, technology implementations, control deficiency remediation, and supporting internal and external audits
  • Track and analyse business performance relative to financial plan and business scorecards; preparation of materials for monthly business reviews, and ad-hoc meetings
  • Support central management of Risk Management Solutions and Corporate Coverage by maintaining metrics such as key trades, headcount, and their related reporting
  • Provide ongoing and ad-hoc analysis to senior management including sales pipeline, client onboarding, and revenue planning
  • Collaborate with broader corporate functions across Deutsche Bank, including Compliance, Finance, Legal, HR and Operations to drive business effectiveness and process improvements

Your skills and experience:

  • Minimum 10+ years experience in Business Management and Finance roles in an International Financial Institution, with minimum of 5 years experience in Business Management specifically covering either Corporate Banking businesses or Fixed Income products
  • Minimum 5 years experience and strong working knowledge of Corporate Bank and Fixed Income products and financials (P&L, Balance Sheet & key metrics) as well as the APAC Corporate client base and their requirements of Global Banks and the linkages between the key products across Markets and Corporate Cash Management
  • Minimum 5 years experience of working with financial planning and analysis, client analytics, headcount and cost management, managing audits and improving controls.
  • Strong strategy and analytical skills; experience of applying these to client strategy / sales enablement topics and exploring wallet opportunities.
  • Demonstrate ability to navigate in a dynamic and matrix working environment managing various senior stakeholders and corporate banking businesses concurrently, including Business Heads, Global/Regional Product COOs, Sales Heads.
  • Strong organization and project management skills to be able to manage a project with diligent follow-up.
  • Highly motivated and creative problem-solving abilities; excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with senior management, business partners, and control functions as well as external service providers

Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirements may apply.
