Job Description
MAINTENANCE OPTIMISATION DEVELOPMENT
- To support, record and report on key maintenance strategies based on age, type of vessels and based on data and criticality risk analysis.
- To support, record and report maintenance objectives and priorities and make changes as requested.
- To support, record and report strategies for optimising the maintenance considering risk and cost
- To support, record and report cost benefit analysis of various maintenance events and their suitability for the fleet and vessels.
MAINTENANCE OPTIMISATION IMPLEMENTATION
- Support implementation of Optimised maintenance planning, maintenance control and supervision, and collecting the results of the implementation to complete the feedback loop.
- Collection, cleaning and analysis of data concerned with maintenance strategies to arrive at the optimal maintenance and implement risk and cost-based solutions for the fleet and vessels.
- Prepare data for inclusion in the PMS after liaising with PMS team.
- Generate reports for Spares planning and spares requirements for maintenance to support the budgeting process for operations teams/Finance
CONDITION BASED MONITORING
- To support, record and report on the various CBM tools available at the disposal to keep track of vessel’s maintenance and condition.
- To support and assist in development of new tools and methodologies for the collection and analysis of condition-based monitoring where required. To bring the vessels where possible to CBM based notation.
DATA BASED MAINTENANCE PLAN
- To support and extract data from the PMS, failure records and other software report and record root causes and mitigations for failures across the fleet and vessels as well as plans to reduce the impact of unplanned maintenance and breakdowns.
UPDATE MAINTENANCE OPTIMISATION
- To keep track of new instructions from makers on the various maintenance and report and disseminate the same.
- Also for the projects, to keep track of the inputs and communication from the team for gauging their effectiveness.
PLANNED MAINTENANCE REVIEW AND IMPROVEMENTS
- To periodically record and support review of the planned maintenance and suggest improvements
MAINTENANCE & RELIABILITY ANALYSIS
- Collate and support continuous trending of equipment reliability by collecting statistics from the PMS and other data sources. To liaise with the vessels to ensure completion of jobs and routines in timely manner and at regular intervals generate reports to vessels as well as to office stakeholders on the performance of vessels wrt maintenance and breakdowns based on data so collected
DOCUMENT CONTROL
- To keep track of all documents relating to Maintenance Frameworks, Maintenance Condition monitoring, Makers instructions, Maintenance optimisation and other aspects of the department as required.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Professional Qualifications:
Degree in Quality Engineering/ Marine Engineering and related
Specialist Knowledge / Skills:
- Document control
- Reliability
- Software skills
- Planned Maintenance Systems.
- Change Management
- General knowledge of global shipping industry and fleet technical management
Experience:
3 years’ experience in engineering or maritime based industries preferably specializing in shipboard planned maintenance systems and processes.
