Job Description: ICT Support Specialist
Location: Oasis Primary School, 71 Edgefield Plains, Singapore 828716
Contract Period:
- Initial Term: 14 July 2024 - 13 July 2025 (or post-LOA issuance, whichever is later)
- Extension Option: Up to one additional year (14 July 2025 - 13 July 2026)
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am - 5:30 pm (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
- Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Additional Hours: Occasional early starts at 7:00 am and potential Saturday service for school events. Working hours will be adjusted accordingly.
Objective:
To provide support for ICT teaching and learning at Oasis Primary School by deploying one competent ICT Support Specialist.
Scope of Services
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Training: Teach students multimedia applications, information literacy, and the safe use of online tools.
- Program Development: Collaborate with the HOD ICT to create training resources and programs tailored to the school's needs.
- Resource Development: Develop materials for training sessions for both students and staff.
- Staff Training: Assist in ICT-related training for staff, InfoComm Club, and ICT Student Leaders.
- Inventory Management: Handle AV/IT equipment inventory across various school locations.
- Event Support: Provide technical support for school functions, including setting up and managing PA systems and Zoom meetings/webinars.
- Photography & Videography: Support school events with photography and videography, including editing and archiving media.
- Website Maintenance: Aid in the design and upkeep of the school website.
- Technical Support: Offer technical support in computer labs and small-group teaching environments.
- Program Assessment: Evaluate and recommend improvements for ICT-related teaching programs in collaboration with HOD/SH ICT.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in teaching computer use and applications in a school environment.
- Polytechnic Diploma or equivalent in a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Apps (Drive, Docs, Slides, Sheets, Sites).
- Good command of English (written and oral).
Desirable:
- Experience teaching young children.
- Proficiency with iOS devices (iPad, iMac, MacBook) and apps (Keynote, Pages, Numbers).
- Knowledge of multimedia applications (Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, SWIIT webpage builder).
- Intermediate knowledge of STEM or coding (e.g., Python, C-programming, Arduino, Micro:bit, Apple SWIFT playground).
- Experience in animation, mobile learning development, basic programming, video filming, and editing.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
