Responsibilities:
- Manage all sales activities of new vehicles in Singapore, in collaboration with principals and senior management.
- Direct sales teams and provide leadership towards the achievement of sales targets and goals set by principals, whilst balancing company profitability and growth objectives in line with the company’s vision and values.
- Responsible for joint product development of new vehicles in Singapore, including business forecasts for brand principals. Provide the right model range for designated market segments.
- Maintenance of market & product data for accurate market segmentation and forecast and maintaining good relations with brand principals.
Responsible for achieving the annual budget and forecast for Sales turnover, contribution, and profit - Formulate sales promotions & pricing strategies to optimize sales volumes & minimize inventory aging
Meeting up with corporate customers to understand, and match their requirements & build fleet sales - Propose & negotiate price/volumes of new cars & commercial vehicles with brand principals based on competitors’ performance, market conditions, taxes, and TIV research (Price / Positioning comparisons)
- Develop & conduct product training to improve Sales Consultants’ sales and service levels and participation in the principal’s global sales skills competition from time to time
- Develop and conduct product training for the sales team incorporating elements required by principals whilst adapting courses relevant to local market conditions, to improve customer service & principals’ targets (Mystery Shopping, Email & Call)
- Collaborate with senior management and principals to achieve targets desired
- Attend meetings with external stakeholders (LTA, MTA, NEA) & alert of impending changes
- Assist in outdoor sales events eg. Road Shows, Motor Shows; Coordinate plans with Marketing to launch/ introduce new / facelift products when necessary.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Business / Sales & Marketing or equivalent.
- 6-8 years in automotive sales. Candidates with lower years of experience can be considered for Asst Sales Manager role.
- Min. 2 to 3 years of experience in sales/product management with required professional qualifications.
- Strong understanding of products, customer and market dynamics and requirements.
- Ability to lead & motivate sales team to expand sales & market share.
