Ascending Hope Community Services is seeking motivated and creative Marketing and Events Intern to join our dedicated team. This internship presents an opportunity for you to contribute to our mission of serving the community and promoting our organisation's initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and executing various marketing events and initiatives aimed at raising awareness about Ascending Hope Community Services and the services we provide.
This internship will provide valuable hands-on experience in event maneagement, content creation, and service process design within social service sector.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing & Communications team to generate innovative concepts for events that align with our organisation's mission.
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of events, including providing design support for branding assets and reviewing/editing content assets such as presentation decks, speeches, and promotional materials.
- Support the development and implementation of strategies to engage event attendees, enhancing their experience and encouraging participation.
- Identify areas for improvement in events to better serve our community and achieve our organisation's goals.
- Actively participate in team discussions and debriefs to contribute insights and suggestions.
- Stay informed about current trends and best practices in event marketing within the social service sector.
Requirements:
- Must possess existing work authorisation to work in Singapore.
- Currently pursuing a local polytechnic diploma, preferably in Marketing/Communications, Business, Hospitality/Tourism Management, Event Management, or a related field.
- Able to commit to a full-time internship (5 days per week) between August to December 2024 (Timeline negotiable).
- Strong organisational and planning skills are essential for success in this role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and design portal such as Canva.
- Enjoy working with diverse groups of people and are passionate about making a positive impact in the community.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude toward learning and a desire to stay updated with advancements in the social service sector.
- Attention to detail is critical to ensure the success of our events and initiatives.
