Job Responsibilities
- Examining historical sales data and trends to identify opportunities by detecting patterns, seasonal fluctuations, and shifts in demand
- Segmenting the market or customer base according to variables such as geography, demographics, purchasing behaviour, and product preferences to generate more precise forecasts for distinct segments
- Harmonizing demand forecasts with inventory levels to enhance stock availability, minimize surplus inventory, and diminish carrying costs. Concurrently, tracking forecast accuracy, demand planning Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and actual sales performance to pinpoint areas for improvement
- Producing a comprehensive report with meticulous analysis utilizing Qlik Sense and Excel dashboards for thorough examination
- Analysing accumulated data over time to recognize trends, seasonal patterns, cyclicality, and other temporal dynamics that offer valuable insights for forecasting and decision-making
- Exploring market trends through the scrutiny of consumer behaviour and preferences. Compiling competitive shopping data to glean insights and employing these findings to shape future product lines
- Collaborating with buyers to tailor assortment ranges for various regions, determining core and recurrent product selections, while supervising repeat strategies and facilitating weekly repeat purchases in conjunction with buyers
- Partnering with the PEC Controller on executing pre-season activities, encompassing launch planning, allocation plans, pricing for the new season, and range planning
- Continually monitoring competitors' pricing, market trends, and customer feedback to regularly assess and adjust pricing strategies, ensuring competitiveness and maximizing profitability
- Coordinating with the Regional Merchandiser Team to devise pricing strategies tailored to different regions
- Developing and implementing robust pricing and margin strategies to optimize profitability and competitiveness in the market
Requirement
- Degree in Business, Retail Merchandising, E-commerce Management, or related discipline
- Proficient in Office 365 tools, especially Excel, and Qlikwill be an advantage
