To lead, strategise and develop a team of teachers focusing on a discrete curricular area to ensure high standards of teaching and learning and the wellbeing of staff to drive the most improvement in students through innovations and product development.
Job description
- Lead and oversee the development of a comprehensive, high-quality, and cost-effective digital curriculum program, ensuring its alignment with industry standards and educational best practices.
- Collaborate closely with the Vice President, providing strategic oversight of the team and offering valuable insights and recommendations for the subject area.
- Set clear, measurable goals and expectations for the team on a quarterly basis, focusing on achieving targets and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Update and refine the curriculum framework and teaching pedagogy based on syllabus changes, emerging trends, and the evolving needs of stakeholders, ensuring its relevance and effectiveness.
- Ensure consistency and excellence in curriculum across all products under the purview of the curriculum department through thorough inspections and regular reviews.
- Strategically allocate and optimize resources to effectively meet the company's goals and expectations, maximizing efficiency and productivity.
- Serve as a role model for subject staff, demonstrating exemplary online teaching practices, fostering continuous professional development, and maintaining a professional presence within the department.
- Contribute to the development of the company's strategic planning and policies, providing subject-specific expertise and insights to align with the overall vision and objectives.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to subject colleagues through regular performance reviews, acknowledging and promoting good practices, and facilitating their professional growth while positively impacting student learning outcomes and the company's goals.
- Foster a culture of innovation by consistently generating and implementing ideas and initiatives in product development, aimed at enhancing the overall learning experience for students.
- Advocate for data-informed decision-making, emphasizing the importance of leveraging collected data to drive improvements and inform curriculum-related choices.
- Lead major projects that involve cross-departmental stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and fostering effective collaboration and communication.
Job requirements:
- Minimum 5 years in leading a team of teachers in relevant subject curriculum in accordance to Singapore MOE syllabus.
- Bachelors / Master's Degree in Education or other related fields
- At least 8 years' of Teaching experience in relevant subject
- An expert in the subject
- Excellent leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Have a growth mindset towards picking up new skills and knowledge
Work Schedule:
- 4 weekdays and 1 weekend (10am to 7pm / 12pm to 9pm)
