Regional Sales Director (Flavors)


Travel Requirements: Extensive regional travel is a prerequisite for this position.


Key Roles & Responsibilities:


Sales Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand the company’s customer base within the region.
  • Identify market opportunities and develop strategies to capture market share and drive revenue growth.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adapt sales strategies accordingly.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for major accounts, addressing their needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute account management plans to maximize business opportunities and achieve sales objectives.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear objectives, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.

Sales Operations and Reporting:

  • Oversee sales operations, including sales forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management and making data-driven recommendations.
  • Ensure effective use of CRM tools and systems to track sales activities and customer interactions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, R&D, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
  • Provide market feedback and insights to help shape product development and marketing strategies.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks related to sales activities and customer relationships.
  • Maintain the highest standards of business ethics and integrity in all interactions.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in sales within the flavor or food ingredients industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and sales analytics.
  • Knowledge of market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs within the flavor industry.
  • Willingness to travel within the region as required.
