RESPONSIBILITIES
Tasks
- Source and evaluate equipment suppliers based on process specification.
- Very hands on in building or customizing in-house equipment/tools using any available parts.
- Evaluate machines and populate the equipment selection matrix.
- Understand current REC or externally installed machine specifications and perform test. accordingly to verify the equipment functions.
- Follow up with vendor on equipment assembly to make sure project timelines are met.
- Equipment Maintenance and Uptime.
Safety
- Always comply with the company safety protocol.
- Understand REC priority on safety and highlight any safety risk on the equipment.
- Participate in projects related to safety improvement.
Communication and Presentation
- Ability to communicate and present at all levels of the organization.
- Able to identify and feedback issues early.
Others
- Perform other duties as assigned. Duties will vary depending on how the investment proposals develop.
- Keep up to date on new equipment development in assigned machine/process segments.
- Develop a working relationship with equipment suppliers in assigned equipment segment.
- Temporary relocation outside of Singapore might be possible depending on expansion locations.
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronic Engineering.
- Minimal 3 years' of hands on experience in equipment in Solar / Semiconductor Industry.
- Proficiency in software such as AutoCad, Solidworks, MS Project will be an added advantage.
- Completed project work from sourcing to industrialization.
- Ability to gather and review resources and select and synthesize data for reports and other written materials.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and through extended hours when needed to meet business commitments.
- Able to wear personal protective equipment (safety shoes, gloves, goggles, gowns) for cleanroom and chemical environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Project.
- Good presentation, interpersonal and communication skills
- High level of accuracy with special attention to detail.
- Genuine interest in tackling new challenges in a changing market.
- Excellent team player and proactive working attitude.
- Readiness to travel.
