Responsibilities:
- Interprets plans, estimate costs and quantities of materials required.
- Assists in the development of Temporary Works’ Plan, design and drawings for construction projects.
- Assists in the tender process by providing technical engineering information to ensure compliance with all engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instructions.
- Assists in the preparation and assessment of cost estimates and the documentation for tender/ contract bids.
- Develops and studies architectural and engineering drawings to ensure that all specifications and regulations are followed.
- Liaises with architects, engineers and other technical colleagues to ensure that the design intentions are met.
Minimum Qualifications/ Job Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Building or Engineering.
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
- Knowledge of building and structural details, working drawings and local construction practices.
- Knowledge of local regulations and engineering standards.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and as a team.
- Good time management skills with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks/ projects at one time.
- Familiar with tender and bidding processes.
- Familiar with local regulations pertaining to building, construction and safety.
