Supply Chain Manager

Mercantile is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain Manager, your role will be crucial to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials, components, and finished products through the entire supply chain process, from procurement to distribution.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy that aligns with the company's business goals and objectives.
  • Source and negotiate with suppliers to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply of components and materials while maintaining quality standards.
  • Oversee inventory levels, monitor stock movement, and implement strategies to minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Manage the logistics team to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods to customers and other facilities.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to forecast demand accurately and ensure adequate inventory levels to meet customer needs.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes to ensure refurbished devices meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Continuously analyze supply chain costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance to ensure reliability and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to supply chain operations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions in the supply chain, geopolitical factors, and economic uncertainties.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in an electronics manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics, and procurement strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
