The Sales Director is a senior management role responsible for overseeing the sales team, setting sales targets, developing strategic sales plans, and ensuring the team meets or exceeds revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligning with the company’s sales goals.
- Assists in the development of the sales plan. Prepares forecasts and KPI reporting for the sales leaders, and upper management, for use in organizational planning, financial forecasting, budget setting and strategic planning.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, identifying key accounts and major clients.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify business opportunities.
- Work collaboratively across teams - including R&D, Product and Marketing
- Sales Process: Implement efficient and effective sales processes, including lead generation, qualification, and closing.
- Prepare and manage sales budgets and forecasts.
- Develop and provide training for the sales team to improve their skills and product knowledge.
- Participate in or oversee high-level sales negotiations and contract development.
- Ensure that the sales team adheres to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Skills & Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of relevant sales experience, extensive knowledge of sales principles and practices, and ability to coach others.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Development, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role.
- Strong understanding of sales strategies and methodologies.
