Role: The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for managing and moving inventory across facilities. They will be responsible for sorting, organising and preparing inventory for delivery, as well as packing items correctly, and notifying management of any irregularities. The role is in a cold room environment (-20C).
Working Hours: 6 day week, Monday to Saturday, 8am-5pm
Responsibilities
- Receiving incoming shipments according to company SOP, including checking, retrieving, unloading and organising items in the cold room and warehouse
- Properly accounting for the location of incoming goods, and comparing packing lists/DO to company invoices to ensure complete shipments have arrived, and reporting irregularities to supervisor
- Stack and organize large bulk items
- Sort, organize and store inventory in the proper location
- Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors
- Preparing, packing and labelling outgoing shipments according to company SOP
- Ensuring no damaged goods are sent or received
- Handling and checking Halal ingredients and products according to company rules and MUIS regulations
- Conducting daily physical stock check of goods in warehouse, and updating supervisor via report
- Updating product inventory as required
- Maintaining required standards of cleanliness, organisation and housekeeping
- Operate heavy machinery like forklifts to move or store inventory
- Observing workplace safety practices, including wearing safety gear at all times and ensuring workspace is free of debris and remove safety hazards from aisles
- Prepare documentation and inventory for audits and management reports
- Other related duties that may be agreed mutually from time to time
Job Requirements
- Secondary School Qualification
- 2 Year of relevant work experience / in the related field
- Logistics / Warehouse experience and Warehouse Management System (WMS) knowledge will be an advantage
