Job Description
- This position is for Institute of Innovation & Entrepreneurship (IIE).
- Team Leadership and DevelopmentLead, motivate and drive the strategic development and execution of IIE’s educational programmes
Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and results-driven performance.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership BuildingIdentify and partner with internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to student leaders, faculty, investors, sponsors, corporate partners, spearheading collaborative initiatives and identifying strategic opportunities for IIE and SMU.
Build relationships with key stakeholders and networks that support the acceleration of student innovation and cultivate the entrepreneurial mindset.
- Programme Development and ManagementDesign/ review curriculum for innovation & entrepreneurship education programmes.
Develop and manage programme timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
Ensure effective operations in compliance with university policies.
- Programme Impact and EvaluationMonitor and evaluate the performance of the programme and its impact on the startup ecosystem.
Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance the effectiveness of the program.
- Financial Oversight and FundraisingOversee the budget and financial management of the programme.
Ensure optimal utilisation of programme-specific funds.
Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants, donations and sponsorships.
- Marketing and Brand Strategy DevelopmentOversee the development of marketing strategies to elevate respective programme’s profile and awareness within SMU, locally and regionally.
Qualification
- Degree / Post Graduate Degree from a reputable university, in business, marketing, education or related disciplines.
- More than 5 years of relevant working experience.
- Experience in designing and delivering quality experiential learning educational programmes.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong knowledge of budget, grant administration and financial management principles.
- Humble, authentic, values hard work, has high standards and is outcome-driven.
- A keen sense of ownership and accountability, acts with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines.
- Comfortable with minimal amount of direction, thrives in high pressure and high expectation situations.
- Detail-oriented and team-oriented with a strong desire to be successful.
- Up to date with industry trends in the innovation and entrepreneurship eco-system.
- Deep knowledge and network in the local and SE Asia innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem will be viewed favorably.
- Relevant experience as an educator or mentor to the youth is a plus.
