Job Summary:
The position is centered around managing suppliers in the realms of production scheduling and product acquisition. The role entails overseeing ODM suppliers to ensure high OTD coordinating production schedules, and managing product acquisition processes. Key responsibilities include addressing critical material shortages, collaborating with internal teams and suppliers, and driving continuous process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain High OTD Performance: Ensure that suppliers consistently meet high On-Time Delivery performance standards.
- Production Scheduling Management: Oversee the scheduling of production and the supply of products from ODMs to align with company requirements.
- Critical Material Shortage Management: Handle shortages and allocate materials between ODM and suppliers to prioritize shipments.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with both suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely product delivery and successful NPI Launches
- Financial Impact Minimization: Mitigate financial risks associated with reduced demand through strategies such as PO Cancellations, managing product End of Life (EOL) processes, and material changes.
- Data Accuracy in ERP Systems: Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of PO details within the ERP system.
- Continuous Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for and enforce continuous improvements in all processes.
- Supplier Performance Metrics: Measure and manage supplier performance metrics to drive goal achievement.
- Strategic Supplier Partnerships: Establish and reinforce strategic partnerships with suppliers to ensure flexibility and support.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 5 years in Tactical Purchasing within the electronic manufacturing industry.
- Expertise in ERP systems (such as Oracle), Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other software.
