Production Planner

GENERAL FUNCTION

1. Responsible for daily production scheduling and planning to meet dateline of sales orders.
2. Co-ordinate with Production Supervisors to achieve the production schedule set target.
3. Co-ordinate with sales department and warehouse on sale order requirements and delivery schedule respectively.
4. Assist in supervision, motivation, training new employees, maintaining discipline, control manpower deployment, reduces overtime, maintains good working relationship with subordinates and to study way to improve the section to increase high output and quality standard.
5. Ensure all instructions given to workers earlier are carried out or follow-up.
6. Inform immediate supervisor of any unusual happenings of major or minor incidents, accidents, hazardous situations or any other issues.
7. Other ad-hoc duties as per assigned

RAW MATERIALS/PRODUCTION PLANT AND SAFETY FUNCTION

1. To plan and schedule of materials to ensure minimum disruptions to production and optimum inventory control.
2. Co-ordinate the purchasing and requisition of raw materials and packing materials to meet the requirement for production.
3. Work with production to release Monthly Production Schedule and generate production schedule work orders.
4. Responsible for monitoring the stock level of all raw materials and packing materials and ensure they are properly identified, marked and stored.
5. Ensure that the materials specified on the BOM strictly follow the mixing instruction procedure and supervise the correct use of machinery and equipment by workers.
6. Ensure all raw materials used by workers follow the BOM production sheet.
7. Generate cycle counts and physical inventory counts on regular basis to ensure inventory accuracy. Conduct physical count on all materials twice a year.
8. Submit the following reports to immediate supervisor:
9. Monthly production output;
10. Accurate compiling of workers’ time sheet.
