Job Description
- In charge in the implementation of safety practices, procedures and guidelines for a HDB BTO project construction site.
- Undertake the duties and responsibilities as stipulated in the Workplace Safety and Health Act.
- To implement the Company Safety Management System at the work site / workplace, in exclusively on administration work
- To advise the occupier, project manager or any other person in charge of a project site on the measures to be taken in the interest of safety and health of the person employed.
- To conduct inspection of the project site personally. To highlight project safety non-conformities to project manager and assist project manager to implement rectification measures
- To manage and assist the site management in investigating into any accident which took place within the worksite / factory and check the supervisor’s report and the action taken to remove the root causes of such accident.
- Work as project Risk Assessment team leader, ensure all site activities have been conduct risk assessment, and effective safe work procedure has been developed.
- Review safety documents which submitted by sub-contractors or suppliers, ensure adequate safety control measures has been implemented.
- Conduct weekly safety coordination meeting to settle site safety matters.
- Conduct weekly mass tool box meeting to highlight site safety findings to all workers.
- Develop project safety training plan, and conduct regular safety training to worker’s base on site safety conditions.
- Ensure permit-to-work system implemented effectively onsite, and work as safety assessor, to evaluate the safety provisions for high risk work activities.
- Monthly evaluate project personals’ safety performance.
- Establish project emergency response plan and conduct emergency drill.
- Work together with project manager and site manager to implement GGBS program.
- Prepare monthly project safety report, and collect KPI datas, attend Company safety committee meeting.
Job Specification
- A Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Engineering (Civil), Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent.
- Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) registered with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and registered Environmental Control Officer (ECO) with NEA.
- At least 5 years of WSHO experience in Singapore building construction industry, experience in handling Singapore HDB BTO project is required.
- A self-driven and meticulous individual who has strong ability to multi-task.
- Proven expertise in MS Office software.
- Possess strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and organization skills.
- Substantial understanding and knowledge of local regulation, Singapore Standards and Code of Practices especially related to EHS.
- Highly motivated, well organized, resourceful and proactive.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Flexible approach and able to work under pressure with a can-do attitude and a desire to win.
- Ability to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and key contact representing the organization on contracts or projects.
- Willing to work 5.5 days at HDB construction Site.
