Job Overview:
The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. This includes ensuring that the project is completed within its projected budget, analyzing costs, preparing tender and contract documents, and providing advice on contractual claims.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring expenditures remain within the approved budget.
- Conduct cost analysis and forecast the final project cost.
- Prepare and review tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
- Negotiate and agree on the terms and conditions of contracts with clients and subcontractors.
- Manage and administer contracts, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
- Work closely with the project team, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure the project meets the client's requirements.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure work is carried out to the required standards.
- Prepare project progress reports and present them to stakeholders.
- Handle and resolve any financial disputes or claims that arise during the project.
- Produce regular financial reports, including cost control and cash flow forecasts.
- Advise on any variations or changes to the project that may affect costs, ensuring these are documented and approved.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma / Degree in any relevant studies
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the construction industry.
- Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software and other relevant IT tools.
Additional Information:
- Working Location: Senoko Rd (Sembawang)
- The role may involve working on-site as well as in an office environment.
- Travel to various project sites may be required.
- Working hours may vary depending on project deadlines.
