Job Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to the Supply Chain team in the areas of Direct Materials Purchasing, Inventory Management, Shipping Planning and Warehouse Management.
- Lead Supply Chain’s Continuous Improvement initiatives to achieve lower cost for purchasing/warehousing/shipping, improve operational flow efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Partner with Central Purchasing Team to negotiate with Supplier for favourable commercial terms and drive cost savings.
- Partner with Distribution Manager to improve shipping date adherence for favourable shipping rate.
- Responsible for key supply chain personnel competency development and planning.
- Responsible for sustaining 4PL control tower solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement of the Shipping Process with 4PL Solution Provider and Internal Customers to achieve cost effective logistic solutions.
- To ensure KPIs are in place for the department.
- RISK analysis. Promote and drive Lean, 5S & HSE initiatives.
- Implement HSE prevention programmes within your activities, ensuring Supply Chain team members remain informed and play an active role in contributing to HSE development, and seeing that all actions taken help to achieve improvement objectives.
- Support Materials Controller on key Supplier development effort for improvement on OTD, Quality, and Cost reduction.
- Support Materials Controller on Materials and Outsourcing Contract development and implementation. Focal point for Contract Pricing to benefit economic-of-scale across Value Stream.
- Responsible for Internal Audit Control on Purchasing.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Relevant experience in similar capacity.
- Proven record of accomplishment driving Process and Cost improvement.
