RESPONSIBILITIES
MoneyOwl's Lead, Strategy, is responsible for providing high-level support to the CEO across all areas of top executive work, including strategy formulation, business execution and stakeholder engagement. There may also be an opportunity to be involved in technology product management.
You need to be a strategic and analytical thinker who is able to join the dots, develop creative solutions, and translate high-level objectives into actionable plans and deliver results. The ability to articulate arguments well in writing to senior stakeholders is critical, as are presentation skills.
A self-starter with initiative and discretion, the ideal candidate will work independently without detailed instructions, but be able to exercise discretion and good judgement. You will be both a hands-on individual contributor as well as able to lead projects informally across functions.
A strong intellect and growth mindset are important as you would need to acquire sufficient knowledge across multiple areas quickly. You need to be meticulous in planning and organising, committed to making sure that all aspects are taken care of and to delivering top-quality results every time. You would need to be able to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities at any one time while adhering to tight deadlines. A high level of agility, self and situational awareness, ability to navigate complexity and good interpersonal skills are also important for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in strategic planning, business plan development, and decision-making with the CEO and management team.
- Steer strategic business initiatives, coordinate efforts, and provide hands-on support to transform strategy and ideas into plans and reality.
- Monitor the progress of tasks to ensure timely follow-up, completion, and alignment to objectives.
- Draft, edit and proof-read various documents including Board papers and other documents of a sensitive or confidential nature, internal/external correspondences and reports.
- Deliver high-quality presentations and briefings to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Provide excellent, well-written and well-researched content, and public talking points.
- Manage and prioritise the CEO's schedule and commitments.
- Coordinate the CEO's internal/external meetings, set agendas, take minutes, and follow up.
- (Depending on aptitude) Opportunity to participate in technology product management.
- Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university.
- At least 5 years' experience in a fast-paced organisation in public or commercial sectors in roles that require strategic thinking, analysis, writing and direct support of senior stakeholders
