About the Role

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Specialist will play a critical role in driving the financial planning and analysis functions. This position involves close collaboration with senior management to support strategic decision-making processes through detailed financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting. The FP&A Specialist will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial models, conducting variance analyses, and assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Financial Planning: Assist in the development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and performance metrics. Provide actionable insights to management.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Modeling: Develop, maintain, and improve financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Data Management: Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data. Manage and improve financial reporting systems and processes.
  • Variance Analysis: Perform variance analysis to explain differences between actual results and budgets/forecasts, identifying key drivers and making recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Business Partnering: Work closely with various departments (e.g., Sales, Operations, Marketing) to understand their financial needs and provide support in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Support special projects and initiatives as needed, providing financial insights and recommendations.

Must-have:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis. Advanced Excel skills are required. Experience with financial planning software (e.g., Hyperion, SAP BPC, Adaptive Insights) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with various levels of management.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Professionalism: High degree of professionalism and integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

Good to have:

  • Prior work experience in telecommunications
  • Knowledge of eSIM and GSMA-related technologies and services
