Job Description
Trainee Management & Development
- Explore new training methodology and introduce innovative techniques to the hub/centre
- Facilitate the development and implementation of person centered curriculum and the overall training pathway for clients e.g. ITP, CLR, Daily Time-table, Sports/Wellness Programmes, Vocational development
- Ensure the adherence of assessment, monitoring and evaluation in the application of professional training methods and periodically refresh training programmes/curriculum
- Actively lead and promote regular engagement with the trainees’ caregivers
- Disciplinary management of trainees (manage cases by working closely with AHPs and Senior Training Officers on concerning issues of clients such as behavioral concerns through monthly Case Reviews.)
- Oversee trainees’ performances in EDC/sheltered workshop and work programmes, and to recommend solutions for any issues arising
- Maintain a high standard of quality training to clients
- Prepare and review reports in relation to trainees’ overall vocational development
Staff Management
- Conduct and facilitate regular staff meetings and training
- Ensure efficient manpower plans (e.g. Leave management)
- Oversee the annual performance review and individual development plan of training officers and Senior Training Officers together with the Senior Manager
Event and Volunteer Management
- Work closely with Manager, Outreach and Engagement to implement community integration and inclusion events for trainees, staff and volunteers
Business and Employment Operations
- Oversee the EDC/sheltered workshop operation with respective Senior Training Officer and liaise directly with Social Enterprise team in any matters arising from the projects
- Work closely with Social Enterprise team in work programmes such as Assisted and Supported Employment, and to assist in funding application for the programmes when necessary.
Administration
- Ensure that the services standards are in compliance with the Ministry's regulations and audits
- Drive the programme evaluation and review process for hub/ centre
Qualification
- Diploma/Degree in any relevant discipline e.g. Special Education, Disability Studies, Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy
- At least 3 years of relevant leadership experience will be an advantage
- Good organisational and people management skills
- Exposure in community care sector is an added advantage
