They are seeking a skilled and passionate Mobile Game Security Tester to join the team in Singapore.
The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct rigorous testing of the company's existing mobile games to identify and report bugs, security vulnerabilities, and performance issues. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of mobile gaming platforms, and a passion for ensuring the highest level of quality and security in our games.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive testing of mobile games across various devices and platforms (iOS and Android) to identify bugs, glitches, and performance issues.
- Test game functionality, user interface elements, gameplay mechanics, and game progression to ensure a seamless and enjoyable player experience.
- Perform security testing on mobile games to identify potential vulnerabilities, such as data leaks, unauthorized access, and cheating exploits.
- Collaborate closely with game developers, designers, and quality assurance team members to communicate and prioritize identified issues for resolution.
- Document detailed bug reports, including steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual outcomes, and severity levels, using bug tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
- Conduct regression testing to verify bug fixes and ensure that resolved issues do not reoccur in subsequent game builds.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in mobile gaming, security testing methodologies, and emerging security threats.
- Provide recommendations and insights to improve the overall quality, performance, and security of our mobile games.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and post-mortem reviews to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation in game testing practices.
- Act as an advocate for the player by advocating for a bug-free and secure gaming experience across all our mobile game titles.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in quality assurance testing, preferably in the gaming industry
- Familiarity with mobile game development tools and technologies, such as Unity, Unreal Engine, Xcode, and Android Studio.
- Experience with security testing techniques and tools, such as static analysis, dynamic analysis, penetration testing, and reverse engineering.
