Summary
The Head of Safety, Security and Compliance is responsible for monitoring and advising the Management on the performance of the Quality Management System, Safety Management System and Security Management System, Crisis Management Systems and Business Continuity Management Systems.
The incumbent will liaise with other Managers and employees throughout the Company to ensure that the Quality Management System, Safety Management System, Security Management System, Environment Management System, Crisis Management Systems and Business Continuity Management Systems are functioning properly. Where appropriate, the incumbent will advise on the changes and their implementation to provide training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve.
Duties and Responsibilities
▪ Lead a team of Safety, Security, Compliance, Environment & Emergency Planning professionals and ensure that they are adequately trained and perform their roles and responsibilities as defined in their job descriptions
▪ Plan, monitor and control budgets within the department
▪ Liaise with local statutory regulatory bodies on Safety, Security, Compliance/Quality, Environment, Crisis management and Business continuity related issues
▪ Report Quality, Safety, Security, Compliance & Environment performance trends to the management team which would affect business performance.
▪ Responsible to advise management on the adequacy of the safety and security measures of the company’s facilities and operations
▪ Ensure that the Quality Management System, Safety Management System, Security Management System and Environment Management System and its respective manuals, procedures and standards are effectively developed, implemented maintained and continuously improved.
▪ Responsible to ensure that there are quality control measures by systematic checks, inspections, periodic reviews and audits to ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are in compliance with company’s Quality, Safety and Security standards, customer’s requirements and local statutory regulations
▪ Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and report quality performance
▪ Ensure respective internal assurance programs and management reviews are conducted to assess quality performance and identify areas for improvement
▪ Analyze quality records for adverse trends
▪ Track and communicate on safety performance metrics and objectives; and regularly track and report on company’s and departments’ progression including tracking for adverse trends
▪ Support, Facilitate and Lead all One Safety and Integrated Management System (IMS) programs from dnata headquarters
Requirements
▪ Bachelor Degree from a recognized tertiary institution with good working knowledge and experience in Quality, Safety & Security programs
▪ Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience and minimum of 8 years of managerial experience, preferably from the airline or airline related industry.
▪ Good working knowledge and experience in Safety, Security & Quality programs
▪ Strong Quality, Safety, Security & Emergency Planning Management background
▪ Computer literate and have good knowledge in MS Office platforms
▪ Physically fit with minimum LTA Class 3 driving license
