Team Intro
ByteDance Procurement aims to provide high-quality purchasing solutions for ByteDance and establish a global platform for purchasing resources. Through providing professional management of procurement resources, selecting high-quality suppliers, and managing supplier performance, we aim to improve the efficiency, cost-effectiveness and compliance of ByteDance procurement behavior, fostering a sustainable business environment.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a high-impact strategic individual to lead, develop and implement procurement strategies with an initial focus on APAC. This role involves developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, optimizing procurement processes, and ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to support the organization's objectives. - Lead a team to execute procurement activities effectively.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing agreements.
- Monitor supplier performance and managing vendor relationships.
- Analyze market trends and managing supplier risk.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and address their procurement needs.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implementing cost reduction strategies.
- Oversee the procurement process and identifying the opportunities to optimize.
- Lead global projects across categories to drive efficiency and effectiveness for long term organization capability enhancement.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above.
- Proven track record as a strong leader with effective strategic planning and implementation experience.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Flexibility to navigate ambiguity in a global work environment.
- Demonstration of the ability to lead and inspire a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience working in a fast-paced and high-growth environment.
- Experience working in consultancy and/or the tech sector.
