Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role responsible to manage and conduct safety inspections and ensure safety practices in the company.
- Lead the bizSAFE Program, QEHS Certification and support Safety Case Implementation for MHI premises.
- Maintain ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 requirements, conduct QEHS internal audits and follow up actions.
- Participate in and follow up on EHS-related audits, e.g. Safety Audit on Managing Hazardous Substances, CERT Audit, audit by customers, etc.
- Conduct safety inspections.
- Prepare reports, presentation slides and meeting minutes for safety meeting.
- Conduct accident investigation, perform root cause analysis and follow up on the corrective action.
- Prepare and conduct EHS-related briefings and conduct EHS orientations for new staff.
- Prepare & attend customers’ safety promotion activities.
- Assist the operations departments to identify and evaluate hazards, review Risk Assessment and proactively eliminate risks.
- Provide relevant posters/ videos/ materials relating to safety to operations departments.
- Review, update and renew Transport Emergency Response Plan and ERP
- Conduct emergency response training, table-top exercise, drills etc.
- Keep abreast and ensure compliance with statutory safety/ health/ environment regulations.
- Support the operations department in the inspection of the contractor’s work activity and evaluate the contractor’s EHS performance.
- Ensure staff work safely in their workplace.
Requirement:
1. Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health or related field of study
2. 2 years relevant experience in EHS
3. Proficient in Microsoft Excel
4. Candidates with certificate in BizSafe Level 2 Certificate, Assess Confined Space for Safe Entry and Work, Building Construction Supervisory Safety, WSQ Certificate in WSH (Level A) or WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH (Level B) will have an advantage
