Job Title: Sourcing Manager
Reports to: Operations Director / General Manager
Job Summary:
The Sourcing Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement and sourcing of vehicles, suppliers, and services necessary for UGKS Limousine Pte Ltd's operations. This role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and optimizing costs while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier Management:Identify and develop relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
Conduct supplier evaluations and performance assessments.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure favorable agreements.
- Fleet Acquisition:Source and procure vehicles to meet the company’s fleet requirements.
Ensure vehicles meet the company’s standards for quality, safety, and luxury.
Manage the fleet acquisition budget and ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Cost Management:Develop and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality.
Monitor procurement expenditures and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
Analyze and report on cost variations and trends.
- Compliance and Safety:Ensure all sourced vehicles and services comply with industry regulations and company policies.
Implement and monitor safety standards and protocols for fleet operations.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Quality Control:Establish and maintain quality standards for all sourced vehicles and services.
Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure adherence to standards.
Address any quality issues promptly and effectively.
- Innovation and Improvement:Stay updated with industry trends, innovations, and best practices in procurement and fleet management.
Recommend and implement new sourcing strategies and technologies to improve efficiency and quality.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the sourcing function.
- Strategic Planning:Develop and implement long-term sourcing strategies aligned with company goals.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify sourcing opportunities and threats.
Collaborate with senior management to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
- Stakeholder Engagement:Work closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., operations, finance, marketing) to understand their needs and requirements.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between departments.
Ensure stakeholder satisfaction through effective sourcing and procurement practices.
- Performance Reporting:Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sourcing function.
Prepare regular reports on sourcing activities, performance, and outcomes.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on performance data.
- Crisis Management:Develop and implement contingency plans to address potential sourcing disruptions.
Manage crises related to supplier performance, supply chain disruptions, and other sourcing issues.
Ensure quick and effective resolution of sourcing-related crises to minimize impact on operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in the automotive or transportation industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and quality control practices.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
