Purpose of Role
The Fund Accountant will have direct responsibility in handling fund accounting and related responsibilities for a portfolio of investment funds and other structures, ensuring timely delivery and high quality of service to both clients and intermediaries.
The role holder will work closely with senior fund accountant(s)/administrator(s)/ client manager(s) to service the needs of clients on a day to day basis and also supporting each other within the office.
Key Accountabilities
Administrative:
The Fund Accountant will ensure that all documents are stored (electronically and physically) according to agreed policies and procedures.
Intermediaries / Clients:
The Fund Accountant will ensure delivery of high-quality services to all clients and intermediaries. The Fund Accountant will maintain good relationships and regular communications with clients/ intermediaries.
You will be responsible for administering a portfolio of investment funds and other structures, with the following key duties:
· Responsible for general accounting and bookkeeping of funds.
· Assist/supervise the preparation periodic fund accounts and issue investor statements for portfolio and fund management clients.
· Assist/supervise the preparation of fund valuation/NAV, performance fees calculation, and other related reports.
· Process invoice payments, distributions and notices, capital calls and other corporate actions.
· Handle queries raised by clients, auditors, tax agents and other relevant parties.
· Assist in Investor AML screening, client on-boarding, set-up and other related functions.
· Assist with CRS and FATCA reporting and ad-hoc assignments (where required).
Knowledge and Experience
Professional and Technical Experience:
The Fund Accountant will demonstrate good theoretical and practical understanding of the day to day fund accounting, administration and regulatory requirements of investment funds. You should have at least 1-2 years of experience in fund accounting/NAV valuation with major international or local corporate service providers. Experience with PAXUS or equivalent software is an advantage.
Competent candidates with no experience but with relevant academic qualifications are welcome to apply.
