The client of ours is on the Largest Electronics conglomerate and they are currently looking for an Experienced Operations Supervisor is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, managing KPIs, and reviewing outsourced operational policies, standards, and procedures.
This includes implementing warehousing solutions to meet business and customer needs. The role also involves managing business resources such as manpower, internal assets, and external vendors. The supervisor drives excellent service by developing and motivating third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to continuously improve processes and performance, supporting strategic objectives related to service, quality, and cost. This practical and systematic position focuses on monitoring and enhancing performance, governance, and compliance according to RS and regulatory quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance and KPI Achievement
- Oversee 3PL warehousing tasks to ensure compliance, meet KPIs, and align with customer requirements and contractual obligations.
- Coordinate Licensing and Permits
- Work with stakeholders and customs brokers to secure local licenses and permits for import and export operations.
- Budget and Cost Management
- Review changes in compliance, tariffs, rates, costs, or quotations to manage operational impact.
- Control operational costs to stay within budget, including packaging materials.
- Maintain strong relationships with warehouse operators, carriers, freight forwarders, and port authorities to provide competitive logistics solutions for customers.
- Lead initiatives to improve logistics performance and operational efficiency.
- Drive performance excellence through continuous improvement projects.
- Develop and implement quality management systems for outsourced logistics.
- Enhance quality standards using quality management expertise.
- Plan and oversee stock-taking activities such as cycle counting and wall-to-wall counting to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Oversee EHS activities to ensure team compliance with safety requirements.
- Generate LTA investigation reports and facilitate Near Miss reporting.
- Conduct health and safety risk assessments, identify hazards, and implement preventive/corrective measures to mitigate risks to an ALARP level.
