Our business is growing, we’re looking for a senior advisory and insight professional who is passionate about conducting research that has a positive social impact! The primary responsibility is to lead extensive and intricate proposals and projects, overseeing clients, reporting and presentations. You will drive commercial objectives, foster enduring client relationships and contribute to enhancing Verian’s brand visibility through thought leadership and business development.

With permanent fully staffed offices in 17 countries, our 850 specialist consultants and researchers advise government departments, regulators, charities, and other public sector bodies to make the right decisions and improve people’s lives.
Responsibilities
- Independently assess all opportunities and craft exceptional proposals to meet targets.
- Act as the primary point of contact with clients, fostering strong relationships and managing day-to-day interactions
- Proactively manage client expectations regarding costs, timelines, and project implications
- Prepare project backgrounds, unique methodologies, timelines, team profiles, and standard tender documents
- Lead end-to-end project delivery for policy consulting projects with junior support
- Serve as a proficient hybrid policy researcher capable of executing complex regional projects independently
- Oversee team growth and performance evaluations
Capabilities
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have a minimum of 10 years relevant regional policy consulting experience. If you also have social and behaviour change experience that would be a bonus.
- Hold a Masters degree in International political science and economics OR International development and economics
- Passionate about Behaviour change, Policy development and evaluation within the social and government space
- Extensive proficiency in sophisticated regional research methodologies encompassing both qualitative and quantitative approaches
- Proven experience delivering winning proposals
- The ability to meet commercial objectives, identify growth avenues and formulate strategies for expanding business activities
- Have an existing network of relevant client relationships with key regional multilateral organisations
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
- You are capable of independently handling end-to-end regional policy consulting tasks, including pitching, project execution, and presenting to multilateral clients.
- Have a track record of executing projects with ease, backed by solid analytical abilities. You're not afraid to think outside the box and explore new ideas, using your creativity and innovation to solve complex challenges with our clients
