Responsibilities
1. Be involved in business development meetings to target specific markets, clients and project opportunities.
2. Lead a project team and provide design and technical leadership on architectural design matters.
- Conceptualize designs of architecture and masterplan
- Prepare and work on Schematic Design & Design Development packages
- Assist to improve designs and interface with Schematic design
- Work on Design development on new and ongoing projects
- Coordinate with subconsultants for Schematic Design & Design Development packages
- Coordinate designs by use of, plans, elevations with project + submission architects
- Carry out feasibility studies and make design proposal presentations
- Prepare collaterals for business development
3. Provide guidance to team members to ensure that design solutions are optimised in order to meet clients' requirements.
- Liaise with and discuss project-relevant issues with clients.
- Negotiate with contractors on design requirements and building progress.
- Oversee progress of on-site work; ensure project is built according to design plans and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Work with engineers and surveyors to make sure that the project meets the necessary standards.
- Project and/or design management of more than 3 - 4 projects at any given time.
- Possibly take on the role of PD (Project Director) or PL (Project Lead) and be in charge of or assist in project P&L and resource planning.
Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in architectural design and project management.
- Show proficiency in engaging in business development tasks such as client meetings, proposal creation, and delivering presentations.
- Exhibit flexibility in managing multiple projects concurrently, and ability to adjust to evolving project needs and priorities.
- Have a good understanding of project management methodologies, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
- Capable of taking the lead in guiding and mentoring project teams, offering technical expertise and design direction as needed.
