RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position is for ffice of Campus Infrastructure and Services (OCIS).
- Development Planning and Space Management
- Lead master planning for future developments/ projects.
- Lead a comprehensive process of optimising campus space usage and collaborate with stakeholders to align space allocation, etc for alignment with the University's strategic directions.
- Analyse and develop accurate insights related to space management and utilisation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to building codes and accessibility.
- Policy Matters
- Oversee department-wide policy development and implementation.
- Ensure policies align with organisational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to staff on policy interpretation and compliance.
- Collaborate with legal, etc., to address policy-related issues and concerns.
- Campus Initiative and Strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative solutions for campus improvement (functionality and aesthetics).
- Develop and implement strategies to support campus growth and sustainability.
- Foster partnerships and collaborations to advance campus objectives.
- Oversee data analytics (gathering and distilling) support for all cross-functional teams.
- Procurement and Contract Management
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organisational goals, identifying and mitigating risks.
- Oversee procurement processes with a keen eye for efficiency and compliance.
- Lead negotiations for favourable terms, demonstrating fiscal responsibility.
- Ensure all procurements utilise a transparent process.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (A master's degree could be advantageous).
- A minimum of 5 years of senior managerial experience in development master planning, space planning & management, policy matters, strategy formulation & implementation, procurement & contract management or related fields.
- Must possess strong and proven leadership experience and management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Strong strategic planning and project management skills and proven ability to plan and implement critical initiatives/ projects.
- Demonstrate ability to manage complex projects and initiatives within established timelines and budgets.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to demonstrate commitment to fostering a positive culture, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
