Job Description:
· The role we’re looking to fill is that of a computer engineer proficient in software development and well versed in various programming paradigms, along with solid understanding of cloud software development and computer networking fundamentals.
· On-going development of the Company’s software products, including new development of customer-facing web and mobile applications and maintenance of existing legacy systems
· Working closely with the other developers and team members within an agile software development environment
· Participating in full life cycle development, including requirements analysis
· The role will be focused on building trading analytics systems and execution infrastructure, as well as backend operations and portfolio risk management tools
· Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure high-quality and high-performance applications.
· Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.
- Monitor,extend, and harden production and development infrastructure with a focus on scalability and security.
- Maintain and enhance cloud infrastructure systems and CI/CD processes.
· Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
Candidate Profile
- Ideal candidate is a software engineer who has direct experience within HF Trading environment and strong fundamentals.
- Keen interest to learn and grow in the trading systems space.
- Passionate about cloud infrastructure software development and security
Qualifications:
· Bachelor of Science degree in computer science.
· 2+ years of professional experience with either Python or C++ software development is required.
· Strong knowledge in Cloud Infrastructure (AWS), Docker containerisation and/or Kubernetes (EKS) for orchestrating and managing machine and container images.
· Demonstrated experience with Git, shell scripting, Webapp APIs, SQL databases and Linux operating system.
· Demonstrated experience using tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, and/or similar DevSecOps tools for infrastructure automation.
· Good understanding of network and cloud security principles and practices, including firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation, IAM, data encryption and security groups.
· Knowledge of incident response processes and tools for detecting, responding to, and recovering from security incidents is a plus.
· Experience with Blockchain technology is a plus.
