Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of assigned vessels, adhering to classification rules and regulations. Collaborate with crews to maintain compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and standards.
- Responsible for scheduling vessels based on flag/class requirements, and overseeing vessel budgets.
- Report any contingencies, vessel structural or machinery breakdowns to the Senior Superintendent and Technical Manager.
- Coordinate technical support from specialized engineers, monitor machinery performance, and conduct lubricating oil/bunker analysis.
- Oversee fuel management, maintenance planning, budget administration, and coordinate scheduled activities for assigned vessels.
- Conduct assessments of chief engineers as required, and participate in shipboard meetings with the Port Captain annually.
- Monitor third-party claim requirements and support incident investigations as needed.
- Collaborate with the Captain on completing reports and providing feedback.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with Sailing or Bunker Vessel and possession of Class 2/3 certification is advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Office and technical knowledge is preferred.
