Citadel is looking for an exceptional candidate in operations to serve as a critical resource for front office and other stakeholders. You will act as a liaison between the business, technology, counterparties, exchanges, prime brokers, and custodians to manage the lifecycle of a trade. Your role will include various aspects of transaction management covering trade capture, matching and affirmations, clearing and settlement, lifecycle management, and reconciliations and controls. The candidate has the unique opportunity to work with products across multiple asset classes with focus on listed and OTC commodity derivatives transactions. In addition, the candidate will add value by developing processes and controls to support a large variety of existing and new businesses, while demonstrating an intellectual curiosity and passion for innovation in a dynamic environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Developing a thorough understanding of end-to-end trade lifecycle, confirmation and affirmation, clearing & settlement, and post trade controls & reconciliations
- Overseeing centralized operational control functions to ensure compliance with key operational parameters
- Managing post trade aspects including clearing of listed futures & options and confirmation and settlement of OTC commodity derivatives transactions.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, counterparties and brokers to suggest and improve technology, processes, and strengthen controls
- Driving continuous improvement efforts contributing to efficiency enhancement, risk mitigation, and business expansion; identifying opportunities and implementing solutions with Technology and Business stakeholders
- Monitoring key performance metrics and performing analysis to benchmark operational excellence across brokers, counterparties, and vendors & service providers.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier tertiary education institution
- Minimum 3-5 years of financial services industry experience, with solid experience in operations processing
- Knowledge of vanilla and structured FICC products and their post trade lifecycle
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment and develop creative/innovative solutions to complex issues and problems
- Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in Japanese would be an asset
- Positive attitude and passion for innovation & driving change
