They are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of ESG to lead our efforts in establishing a robust ESG framework and securing a solid ESG rating for our global business.
The Director of ESG will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing ESG strategy and initiatives. This role will play a pivotal part in ensuring that their ESG practices align with industry standards and best practices, thereby enhancing our ESG ratings and overall sustainability performance. Additionally, the Head of ESG will act as the primary external representative for all ESG-related matters, engaging with stakeholders, participating in conferences, and fostering relationships that support our sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation and execution of a comprehensive ESG strategy that aligns with business objectives and sustainability goals.
- Develop and implement ESG policies, frameworks, and practices across the organization to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Drive initiatives aimed at improving ESG ratings through strategic planning, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for ESG-related inquiries and communications with stakeholders, including investors, customers, regulators, and NGOs.
- Represent at industry conferences, seminars, and forums, sharing insights and thought leadership on ESG topics.
- Oversee the preparation of ESG reports and disclosures, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with global reporting standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD).
- CosWork closely with internal departments such as Operations, Finance, Legal, and Communications to integrate ESG considerations into business processes and decision-making.
- Identify and manage ESG-related risks and opportunities, providing guidance to the executive team on emerging trends and regulatory changes.
- Promote ESG awareness and education within the organization, fostering a culture of sustainability and responsible business practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Deep understanding of ESG frameworks, standards, and rating methodologies, with a proven track record of improving ESG performance.
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in data analysis and ESG reporting tools.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CSR-P, LEED, GRI Certified) are a plus.
- Willingness to travel as needed for conferences and stakeholder engagement.
